I mentioned this earlier in the day – in case you missed it last week, Jason Stark on ESPN wrote a piece that will have you none to happy about the next few years: Stark: Rumblings and Grumblings — Mets’ future

What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

Marty Noble has penned a letter from Shea Stadium to Citi Field. It’s a tad propogandy but nice enough.

While I personally still see no evidence of the Mets actually having done a Citi Field fan survey, that may just because nobody likes me and none of the 40,000+ unique visitors over the past few weeks could be bothered to tell me that they were part of the survey…and I could have also missed the newspaper accounts, and maybe Mets Blog blew off the story, and maybe so did the other blogs, and I guess so did WFAN, and everyone on twitter that I follow…however, the Phillies did indeed do one, and imagine that – while I didn’t get the Mets version I have recieved the Phillies version.
Some of the kinds of things the Phillies asked were (these are not all the questions):

The Kranepool Society. Another biggie that will move the numbers if they link to you. Plus they know who Ed Kranepool is, which should be one of the questions you need to answer to enter Citi Field.
Deadspin: it’s like Gawker for sports but they’ve been KILLING the Mets lately so I’m back into them.
It Is High It Is Far It Is Caught: a really fun site that likes to mock John Sterling. I particularly like when they dissect Sterling’s analysis along the lines of “that’s why you play the game.” I hope some day that this site will be so big that people will nitpick “Shannon must have had nothing, he went back to complaining about black uniforms.”
Sliding Into Home: has been doing a great job with Yankee Stadium (1976) photos. Sad but compelling.
I often accidentally diss someone when I do this article, so if you’d like to be linked shoot me a note at [email protected] The wife and kids don’t really get it when I yell “I’m trying to blog!!!” but I know you do.
