We got this email….I believe this is section 516.
As I do like to be fair, the vendor/civilians-on-stairs problem also existed at Shea.

What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

There were EIGHT more home runs at New Yankee Stadium today bringing the total to 25 home runs in 43 innings (if my math is right, adding 8 to yesterday’s LoHud story) including the exhibition games.
That doesn’t count all the balls that are rocketing out to the outfield.
Is this a design flaw? It’s only April and the ball can’t stay in the park. What will happen when it’s 90 and humid?
There’s no easy fix either…there isn’t much room behind the plate to move the infield back, and the design of the new stadium has bleachers and right field up against the femce. Besides, when the ball is landing in the second deck in right field, there isn’t much you can do.
For those of you wondering, 22 runs was the most ever given up at the New Yankee Stadium (and ties the record for any of the Yankees homes) and the 14 run second was the most the franchise had ever given up in one inning.
When any fly ball has a chance of being a three run homer, the game becomes much more about luck than skill.
How you guys enjoying this new stadium?

As the Mets Police continues to grow, I realize “these kids today” have no memory of anything prior to Mike Piazza.
Kids, there was a man named Tim Foli, who twice was a Met…and when the Mets were hideous, he played shortstop. Let’s catch up with Tim…

Mets Police love to say “I told ya so.”
Remember how I tried to rally the troops to get Opening Night changed to a 1:10 or even a 4:10 start?
Some fellow bloggers followed my lead….but not enough of you complained on WFAN, so we wound up being cold in the 6th inning. (Blah blah union rules….public opinion will always win in the end, ask Pepsi who gave away tickets on WFAN yesterday.)
Jets fans…they got it done!
The NFL has moved the start time of the September 27th Jets game from 4:05 to 1:05 after lots of Jets fans complained about having two home games played on the high Jewish holidays.
It took three days to get this game moved.
Mets fans, next time listen to the Mets Police when we ask for your help.
Now..about those black uniforms…..

For you Mets Police newbies, on Saturday morning I try to share some picture galleries.
For this week’s, I made friends with the folks over at Kiners Korner who told us of two picture galleries they have.
They are pretty cool – I realized I hadn’t been to LF gate yet or I would have seen this (yeah I’m an idiot and have the box with “settings” ruining the pic. So that’s all the more reason to click the links). It’s nice to see a montage like that. I’m surprised Steve Garvey and Don Drysdale aren’t in it.
So sorry I messed up the pic, but do the right thing and check out Kiners Korner but also treat yourself to these great picture galleries!
Home Sweet Home, http://citifieldmetsfirstgame.
Speaking of pics, I’m still hoping y’all will email me obstructed views of Sh…oops Citi (that was a real slip, I enjoy leaving them. By the way, how many times do you waind up saying Shhhh..City, which sounds like something else. I digress…) Send obstructed view pics to [email protected]
