Did you hear that A-Rod stole the “I thank the Good Lord for making me a Yankee” sign from the old-new Stadium?
What a jerk! How dare he! This is another example of A-Rod not getting it etc. Who does he think he is?!
Right?
Oh wait, it’s Jeter who did it, so now it’s magically OK.

Million Manny March great idea, under-promoted.

WBC: Now with even stupider rules!
This rule dictates that, starting with the 13th inning, each half-inning will begin with runners on first and second base, with the batting order intact. The applicability of the rule to the championship game of the tournament is under review by the rules and regulations committee.
What??? That’s not baseball. If both teams have runners on first and second don’t they stand the same chance of scoring the same amount of runs whether none, two or seventeen?
Can you imagine watching a baseball game where there’s magically two guys on? Who are the two guys? Anyone you want? The last two batters?
Why not have a home run derby? Why not have a re-entry rule? Why not let the fans vote by calling an 800 number?
Awful.

Citi Field Name Debate Goes To Treasury Department
“The Treasury Department, which forced Citigroup corporate executives to give up their private jet, should also demand that Citigroup cancel its $400 million advertisement at the Mets field and instead being to repay their debt to the taxpayers”
We request that you intervene and demand that Citigroup dissolve the agreement they have with the New York Mets. Â Absent this outcome, we feel strongly that you should compel Citigroup to return immediately all federal monies received to date, as well as cancel all loan guarantees.
This has been and continues to be an avoidable storm for the Mets. Â All they have to do is redo the deal with Citi and issue some statement along the lines of, “We understand our partner is going through a tough time, and we want this to be a lasting partnership, so we have worked together to restructure the deal so (insert financial doubletalk)….”
