Field Level Beyond Bases – $125 to $225

Promenade (fancy name for Upper Deck) – “averages $19”

They will continue doing the gold, silver, tin nonsense.

And here is the quote from Mets VP Dave Howard that I will use over and over and over for the next 40 years.

We were trying to produce revenue that would support our expenses and our debt service but also balance that against the realities that tickets were going to be going up for our customers. We were going to deliver qualitatively a far, far higher product for them.”

The big Yankee fan in the office, the one who never says die, the one who correctly said Torre would get them back to the playoffs in 2007 when the math suggested otherwise, says:

I Just Spoiled Myself

Wow I taped the game and started watching it at like six.

I get to the Top 9 and decide to start updating the blog. I was going to go with “This Pedro Guy Is Good” and make fun of myself. So I open up my usual news page and WTF???? They blew a game to the Pirates?!

Awful. I hope Omar is checking the waiver wire every five seconds. Everyone still hate Wagner the way you hated Delgado?

Congratulations Rays As Yankee Panic Sets In

Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Rays on winning their franchise record 71st game. Yes this team has been so awful that 71 is the record, and they set the record on August 10th. Think about it, if they lose from now until football season this will still be their best year ever. They can end on a 45 game losing streak and still have their best season ever. That’s awful.

While the Rays cruise to the AL East title, Yankee Panic has set in. The Yankee fans that were always confident (and correct) that Joe Torre would find a way, do not have the confidence that Joe Girardi will. The wild card isn’t that far out of reach, but you can tell the Yankee Fans know deep down that it isn’t going to happen. Wouldn’t it be something if the Formerly Brooklyn Dodgers won it all.

You’ve seen the last of Ian Kennedy. They didn’t like his awful performance and they sure as heck didn’t like his comments afterward. He joins the Rotation of The Damned with Kei Igawa.

This time next year Hank, Girardi, Jim Hall and Manny Ramirez will all be playing across the street from the ghosts.
