From 2008.  On the one hand, I love it.  On the other hand, it didn’t work.

But for Girardi, there was no covering up what he saw Sunday. A day later, he was still bothered by Canó’s lack of hustle on a play in the infield against the Tampa Bay Rays. Girardi yanked Canó from the game; on Monday, he went further, benching Canó to send a message. “I think it’s important that everyone knows there are consequences when you don’t do things the right way,” Girardi said. “We’ve all been taught that since we were kids. My intention was to make sure that Robby knows what we expect from him

Mets Police Morning Laziness: Ask Me Again In 10 Years

SLACKISH REACTION:  At least the Mets had a better day than Game of Thrones did.

Ask me again in 10 Years how the reign of Brodie Van Wagenen, the man who went out of his way to bring in 36 year old Robinson Cano who was coming off a PED Suspension and has 750 games left yet on this contract, ask me in 10 years how the reign of Brodie went.

MICKEY WATCH:  Some really disgusting revisionist history in the Post where one writer is saying how Mickey has been overmatched all along and should have been removed last October.  That was never The Narrative except here at the “negative” site.  Really disgusting how these guys always take the popular side and never have their own opinions.  Notice the complete lack of articles about the GM who they still fawn over.

Anyway, as I have been telling you, Mickey will be relieved on Sunday after the game before the Mets head to Los Angeles.
