Gil Must Go: This stupid 5 man rotation is killing the 1969 Mets

Ugh, Cardwell is killing us.  This whole 5 man rotation thing is insane.  Can we PLEASE just start 4 pitchers in a rotation like you’re supposed to????!!!

I told you Wayne starting every day was the call.  My man was 3 for 4 and is hitting a cool .304

Gliding Ed Charles did get to play – he pinch hit.  How did he do?  He made an out lol.

15-18 as you wake up on May 16th? You’d have signed up for it.

Mets Police Morning Laziness: All-In Mets went out of their way to start Wilmer Font

SLACKISH REACTION:  I got home and put the TV on and saw exactly one pitch and the ballgame was over.  (Another lame catch phrase, but that’s for another day.)

I wrote last night about The Long Con and Come and Get Us and basically how this is another disaster.

Gil Must Go, my in-character real time reaction to the 1969 Mets featured Tom Seaver vs. Phil Neikro.

Are vampires operating a baseball team in Queens?

Man I miss the 1994 New York Pigeons

A sports league is holding an event on a Thursday at 1:05pm.  That’s insane.

The Mets play the Marlins AGAIN tomorrow.  Boy baseball sure is compelling.

COME AND GET US! Let’s check in on the long con being run on the Mets, shall we?

As you know the Mets brought in a well dressed new GM, who made some big splashy moves, announced a new culture and the media loved it.   He invited the rest of the division to come and get us.   Well it’s May 15th and the team is under .500 and there are 750+ games left on Robinson Cano’s contract.

Anyway you all told me I was negative, so I am gonna stay out here alone on Negative Island and you better not try and join me.  You stay over there with the Brodie Fanboys and last year’s crew that anointed the manager Mickey Hodges in February.

Tonight, the All In Mets started Wilmer Font tonight. On purpose.

Gil Must Go: LOL Neikro vs Seaver…a battle of “greats”

Tom Seaver

Easy pickings today for the Mets.   The Milwaukee Atlanta Braves rolled out Phil Neikro who was 31-27 coming into the season so it’s not like this was a battle of Hall of Famers with the Mets starting Tom “Terrific”

Somehow Terrific is 5-2.   The man gave up TEN hits.  TEN!!!

Good to see Gil continues to run Garrett out there.  Finally, enough with Gliding Ed Charles.

If I told you you could wake up on May 15th and only be three games under .500 you’d have signed up for it….so let’s just enjoy the small steps in the right direction our young franchise has taken.
