Klapisch: Maybe it’s not all Wright; David could follow Reyes out of Flushing – NorthJersey.com

Ah, I have found my post-VB Day mission.  I call it Dick Young Lives.

So now it’s Wright’s turn, albeit in slightly different circumstances. The third baseman has two years left on his contract, including a club option for 2013 for $16 million that Wright can void if he’s dealt. Since there’s no way the Mets will be contenders before Wright’s deal expires, logic says it’s pointless to waste precious dollars on him.

Wright isn’t going anywhere ever.

  1. This article “Hits the Nail on the Head”, although it is very painful to hear. If we are going to rebuild-LETS DO IT!, take our medicine and get it done as quickly as possible.

As soon as managemet comes clean amd the fans finally accept it, then we can hit rock bottom and begin to make our way up!

  2. If Wright wants to be here, he’ll be here regardless.  If it came down to it, he’s the one guy I could actually see accepting a lower salary so more can be invested around him.

But hey, if his departure is in the cards, that’s fine, too.
