Sandy: Beatings will continue until morale improves

“What I’m hoping is that as we get better and the fans respond to that improvement, that that payroll number will go up,” he said.

via Mets GM Alderson challenges team to win 90 games.

WHY IS THIS OUR PROBLEM???

WE DON’T GET A BETTER TEAM UNTIL WE SUPPORT A BAD TEAM?  WHAT DO YOU THINK WE HAVE BEEN DOING SINCE CITI FIELD OPENED?

Read the quote Mets fans.  Read the quote.

  1. This quote infuriated me when I read it. i have been supporting this team for 50 effing years. What do I have for my lifetime support??? 69,73,86,88 99,00 and 06. 7 fun years , 43 lousy and sometimes brutal years. I am tired of watching them. I want to punch Alderson every time he opens his mouth and I can’t even write what I would do to the criminal Wilpons. I need a drink and probably a xanax. This is just disgraceful.

  2. Sorry.  Please continue to use Mets Police only as a fun distraction.  And please attend some games so we can get a SS, 1B and closer.

  3. Right on Shannon!…Shut your pie hole Sandy and put a real team on the field. There are three of you stooges in that front office.
First of all this team is not getting better.
Secondly, expect less attendance than there was last year.
Lastly, you can’t put a crappier team on the field then we have now.
    Idle threats!

  4. You whiny little children need to learn to read.
What is the very first thing mentioned in the quote?
“What I’m hoping is that as we get better…”
So, he is acknowledging that the team must show real improvement to get fans in the seats
“…and the fans respond to that improvement…”

So, basically what Shannon is SCREAM TYPING is exactly the opposite of what Sandy said.

  5. Pathetic!!! They are the laughing stock of baseball. A NY franchise with a minuscule payroll. I don’t believe A word Sandy or The Wilpons say. They think us Diehard Met fans are stupid. There is no hope until they are all gone.
