Not only are the Mets wearing horrible black uniforms, they aren’t even wearing NEW YORK on the road.
The uniforms say Mets, like it’s 1978.

Howie Rose we need you to comment on this today on-air. You should steal Kay’s old uniform schtick but do it in an evil sarcastic way. “The Mets are dressed in black with Mets across their chest. Of course.” Just do it Howie.
If they really want to sell stuff, they’ve sold black crap for 10 years, why not bring back the early 80’s blue road jerseys. They are also a poor choice but at least they are blue.
I like how the Dodgers obsession doesn’t cross over into the uniforms.

As I keep pointing out, because it gets late early, especially when you tend to fall one game short, the Mets are 6 and 8.

Please get rid of those hideous black uniforms and caps!!! They should wear the gray with NEW YORK with the blue cap at home, and pinstripes with the blue cap at home!!! Only good thing about last night is at least they did not wear the stupid two tone blue and black batting helmet which is a disaster! Come on Mets you have til the end of May to submit new uniforms for next year, get on it Wilpons!

As was pointed out last night by Cohen and Darling, the Mets road uniform does NOT carry the Citi Field patch. Check the left sleeve… it’s empty.

The black UNIs look EXACTLY that bad – completely expansion team. Plus they’re bad karma.
