Supposedly, the Mets will add three-game packs next week. Â You would be able to pick any price level (unlike the 6 packs which are just uppers).
For an idea of what this might look like, lets visit Redsox.com. Â In the Fenway version these are standing-room tickets:
Returning for 2010, the popular Standing Room Only Pax offer the chance to see three games for as little as $60. You can create your own unique three-game package — including one game with either the New York Yankees or Los Angeles Dodgers!
If you click through you’ll find a “pick one game from Group A”, one from B and one from C.
Might this be coming to Citi Field next week? Â Will you be able to include Opening Day or a Yankee game? Â What about people who are now stuck in the outfield with 6-packs, will they be sad that the Mets didn’t tell them this was coming? Â Will the Mets ever sell single-game tickets?
This morning’s MLB Spam Flushing Flash was pushing the Opening Day 6 Pack.  I guess those didn’t go as well as they thought?  Maybe you should get one and join us for the Blue Cap Army meetup.
Thanks to Richie for sending in the tip. Â This site really is fueled by people like you who send things in and tip me off. Â I’m [email protected] or @metspolice on twitter if you ever have anything (and apparently I’m shannonshark on the new Google Buzz thing.)
whether it’s the economy, the team, or the ballpark (or some of each), the Mets are getting the message. that’s good.
Sure, if the message is “Let’s milk and alienate as many fans as possible by getting them to purchase early before we release everything to single games.” This would be news if the Mets weren’t one of the few teams in professional sports that don’t offer a discount for buying in bulk! Hell, even the Knicks save you money.
