I love Ebbets Field Flannels. In the last 2 years I’ve gotten 4 jerseys from them – Brooklyn Bridegrooms, New York Mammoths, Brooklyn Tip-Tops (a gift from the wife), and recently the Flatbush BBC.
I received an email from them this morning with some of their new designs, including this:
It’s the 1909 road jersey for the New York Metropolitans, formerly of the American Association but by 1909 an independent club.
It’s not the nicest script I’ve seen, but look at that beautiful blue coloring!
I’d love to see Santana, Wright, Reyes, Bay, et al in these for a game.

They kind of look like Bowling shirts with that collar..But it would be awesome to see the Mets take the field with these on..
I don’t necessarily need to see them wear that style, but it would be nice if they dug up some sort of New York Metropolitans jersey for a game.

Lol. I don’t know if they can get away with wearing those in a major league game. Think there are some rules involved. Maybe they pose for a team picture or something? Have Flashback Friday day at Citi Field sponsored by Faith and Fear in Flushing?
Maybe take the spirit of the design but make it a jersey…like they did with the N Y jerseys last year.
