As I surfed the net I discovered Jack who was kind enough to email me back. Â I saw Jack mention that he was lending the Mets some items from his personal collection. Â I was curious about the items, and how someone could potentially submit an item for consideration.
Jack emailed:
I think they are collecting items that they can’t get from the Baseball HOF or other sources. I thought they would be interested in some of my game-used jerseys ( I have some great ones from the 60s & 70s ) but they are getting some from the HOF & didn’t want mine. I am lending them a game-used Lee Mazzilli bat & a Shea St. dedication program from ’64…  I think someone would have to go through the front office /marketing dept…….
