On my way to the game…probably will be on twitter @metspolice
Some links:
This week’s jersey discussion prompted Matt to send me an email reminding me of his jersey design he suggested over the winter. Â I’ll call it, pinless/no piping/yes racing stripe. Â Â See it here on Metsblog. What do you think?
I really enjoyed this list from Mets By the Numbers: players who made their Mets debut in an extra inning game. Â Which Met made his debut in the 23rd inning? Â Yes I said twenty-third. Â Answer here!
Does the cream color just wash out under bright light, or did the Mets sneak the old pinstripes in today? I couldn’t see anything until the post-game show due to that goofy Fox contract, but Manuel’s jersey looked quite white during his post-game conference, and here’s a pic of Perez from Yahoo! Sports today:

Hey guys – I’m on for the first time today….had some GREAT seats so more pics and videos coming this week.
Sparks – in person the pro version of the creams look less yellow than they do on a civilian version.
Oh, as far as the jersey design from the link, I’ll pass. The sublime tackiness of the racing stripe just doesn’t jive with a more classical plain white jersey.
Incorporating the racing stripe as a sleeve trim (much like on the early-80s jerseys) on a plain white top might work, though.
