As you may know, I have a man crush on Lee Mazzilli that dates back to the late 1970’s.
I want to buy myself some sort of Mazzilli jersey (number 16 of course, how dare they give that to some rookie pitcher in 1984) but I don’t know how to handle it.
They sell Mazzilli jerseys, but they are 1986 style, and are accurate with a #13 which Lee wore upon The Return.
He’ll always be #16 to me, so that doesn’t work.
I don’t believe 1978 style jerseys (home or away) are available or easily customizable. Â If they are please tell me!
A pinless makes no sense, a retro makes no sense but might be the best move. Â I don’t have a retro and I could pretend Dave Howard held an Old-Timer’s Day and Lee came.
I could go ironic and get a black Mazzilli 16. Â BP jerseys are 20% off today. Â Maybe that?
Any advice?

Don’t buy any Mazzilli jersey’s. Remember that BS play he called on Todd Zeile in the World Series where he basically bullied the umpire into making the wrong call!!!
Seth – Don’t buy any Mazzilli jerseys? But he’s Lee Mazzilli!
