I hadn’t heard of this Reggie Jefferson – Mike Piazza accusation before

Was I asleep when the book about Clemens “The Rocket That Fell to Earth” included a shot at Mike Piazza?

My “Mike Piazza” google tracker caught this story in Faster Times…and some additional Googling shows Deadspin mentioned it last March.  Maybe I just forgot?

Anyway, Faster Times has some things to say…

As for me, I’m not going to accuse anyone of anything.  I’ll stand by my previous statements that there are some former Mets who could turn up on a list and I won’t be the least bit surprised.

  1. I’ve often suspected this (he was after all the 62nd pick), but this is the first I’ve heard of it in the media.

    Love your blog. Just discovered it a few days ago.

    I want Pedro back too, incidentally. He’s not an ace, but a good #3 mercenary. He’s solid.
