Show Up At Shea’s Replacement

FormerDirtDart does some good work in the comments and on twitter….I actually was bugging him during the game last night to get the “winning streak in non-black” total…which was at 9 before i jinxed it.

Anyways, he left this in the comments and I thought you’d be interested:

Last nights 35,045 was fourth best weekday(MTWT) draw of the season thus far.
1: Opening Day(of course) vs. Marlins 41,245
2: 2nd game of season Vs. Marlins 38,863
3: 3rd game of “Goose Egg Sweep” vs. Phillies 35,903

With 35 ticket dates (out of 80) thus far, and a decent sample size, Mets are on pace to draw 2.64 million (avg. 33,079 per gm).
With school out, and continued winning ways, these numbers should improve.
Or, at least that’s what the numbers suggest to a bored guy living in N.Fla.

I assume that # is from Wednesday – last night’s Saturday+ number was 31.  The wings were a tad empty, I had guessed 27,000 but I haven’t learned to eyeball the number yet.  At Shea I could get within a thousand every night.

The team is fun, playing well, interesting (RA Dickey?  Really?) and it’s time to Show Up At Shea’s Replacement with the coporate name.  (I’m on that kick again thanks to Mets Police Mom).

  1. Small samples are accurate it is the selection of the sample that actually matters.
