  1. Sorry if I offend anyone out there, but I really can’t stand when people put their own names on jerseys. I guess it’s cool for kids, but anyone over 20 years old needs to stop living the dream. I am not referring to the Mets Police jersey because that is cool and is promoting your site. And although I can’t really stand him, I’ll give Cowbell Man a pass too. But the guy in section 533, Vinny #69, that’s just cheesy. Because I am pretty sure that the 24 year old with the blowout haircut isn’t referring to the 69 World Series champs with his choice of number.

    1. Tom i have a bunch of personalized jerseys. It is par about living the dream, and its partly because as I age it’s weirder and weirder to wear a younger mans name. I could look up to a Tom or Lee but harder to admire some kid born in 1986.

  2. Is it really about living the dream? I buy personalized (mostly) because I know I’ll be a fan of the team long after that player is traded away or becomes a bust.

  3. That is true. I didn’t think of it that way. Like I said, I wasn’t looking to offend anyone. I would more likely leave a jersey blank than put my own name on it. BG and Shannon both make a lot of sense though.
