Last night the Mets wore pinstriped jerseys with blue caps for the 5th straight game.
I have no explanation for this statistical aberration, after all white pinless is the official primary jersey, but I am enjoying it. The Mets have tricked me into watching games again. I now tune in every night to see what they are wearing.
The Mets will wear Los Mets jerseys tonight. Long time readers know my feelings (In a nutshell it’s ugly, Mexican league teams don’t do it, Nueva York road jerseys would make more sense): I hate them. However, there is for once a silver lining to Los Mets. The 2010 Los Mets jerseys have been pinstriped this season.
It’s possible that the Mets will whip up some pinless or even black Los Mets jerseys (let’s not even think about that) but I think they will be lazy and or financially wise and roll out the pinstripes with Los. If so it will make 6 straight days of pinstripes. Let’s hope.
