This time its Mets Blog who engaged in the Mazzilli for Manager talk. That’s three mentions this week coming from someone other than me!
Matt wrote, “In looking back in my notes, the people in Baltimore I talked to back then all said he was ‘creative,’ in terms of how it utilized his talent, but also a bit paranoid and snippy when dealing with reporters, which is more or less exactly how insiders described Willie Randolph.” He adds that perhaps Lee’s time with SNY may have helped Lee the way Torre’s time as an Angels broadcaster helped Joe.
