Mets to dogs: Bark off

As you may have noticed, tonight’s Mets game has been rained out.  Actually you may not have noticed.

Anyway, dogs everywhere (including this very nice dog with poor taste in jerseys)  have been tweeting me to complain that they are not being invited back this season whereas humans are:

Tickets for Monday’s game will not be honored Wednesday. Only fans with tickets marked “Game 77” will be admitted to Wednesday’s games.

Fans holding paid tickets for Monday’s rainout, including those for the scheduled Bark in the Park event, may exchange them for tickets comparable in price and location for any regular season Mets home game prior to Sept. 27, 2011, subject to availability. The Bark in the Park event has been canceled and will not be made up this season.

Poor dogs.  I bet the Mets were just afraid of Dog Banner Day.  We’ll get them next year.

Right you are re dog banner day.
I was going to take my two mutts on Wednesday.
So much for the New York Muts.

  2. To be fair, we’d probably kill the Mets for rescheduling yesterday’s game as a separate admission doubleheader. For a team that’s out of it, this probably makes the most sense.

    1. The single admission makes sense. I’m sure if someone with a Monday ticket shows up that they will be able to get in the building. From the stories I have heard lately it wouldn’t surprise me if exchangers got the hook up with good seats.

I am just funnin’ with the dogs. No actual dogs tweeted me.
