When I got home last night I took another look at the Uni Watch article and this really struck me:
I hope that person is more open to media inquiries in general and Uni Watch inquiries in particular, because it’s plain ridiculous that I haven’t been able to have a relationship with the equipment manager of my favorite team.
That does seem insane. I could understand Wayne Hagin not returning Paul Lukas’ calls, but the guy writes about uniforms every day (well, 5 days), loves loves loves the Mets and even has a column on ESPN. They should talk to this guy!
agreed. i tweeted about the same thing yesterday morning because that exact sentence struck me as well. imagine if paul had a direct line to the new mets equipment manager as he does with joe skiba, who is the new york giants equipment manager? it would be great to not only get a little insight, but know that the mets hear our voices when it comes to the look of the on-field product.
