Don’t feel bad for missing that one, Chief. Even the MLB Style Guide doesn’t show that particular BP top. Per the guide, the Mets had blue BPs through ’99, but they were rarely worn once the “alternate” black BP tops appeared in ’98. There’s no mention of when the drop-shadow was added to blue BPs. It was added to the snows in ’98 but wasn’t added to the pins until ’99.
