Dining at Citi Field’s Keith Hernandez Grill

Wow I must have been freezing both Friday and Saturday – somehow I walked past this twice and never took a picture.  But Ceetar from Optimistic Mets Fan did!

I mean I even took a picture of the David Wright images.  How did I miss The Mex?

Oh…and in RF there is now a rum stand.  I don’t think you need rum at a Mets game but I was shouted down on twitter (@metspolice) so I guess you do.

No Rusty’s Ribs yet.   Rusty, where are you?

  1. not to go all “How did I miss it?!” on you, but the rum bar was there last year too.

Also, they now have single serving wine bottles with a Mets logo plastic glass. At Cascarinos among other places.

  2. It’s not straight rum… they make tropical, frozen drinks. I had a Pina Colada (just one) on Opening Day and it was ridiculously delicious. The alcohol content in mine was clearly low… I drank the whole thing and felt less than I would drinking a beer.

  3. I noticed the Keith grill burger and was really tempted. But, in order to break away from the Shake Shack practice this one time I decided to try the new hand sliced Pastrami Sandwich located by Sec. 135, not bad at all.

  4. cut the waiting time at Shake Shack. I’ve waited 45 minutes and as much as 3 innings to beserved.

  5. They really need self-serve kiosks to place orders at Shake Shack. If my supermarket deli can do it, Aramark can.
