Now if you look up Tom’s baseball card you won’t see a line for 1987 New York NL – but Tom did attempt a comeback with the Mets. He realized he didn’t have it and retired for good.
This turned up on eBay one day, and although it’s ridiculous I feared that this would become my white whale (much like the Lee Mazzilli Poster Day Poster has become.)
So I now own this – and I bet even Tom Seaver doesn’t have an 87 Seaver. If you see a fat guy wearing this…it’s probably me.
