Bud Selig sees appeal of All-Star Game at Wrigley Field – ESPN Chicago

Wrigley had it in 1990.  “Comiskey” in 2003.

2013 still not announced.

KC is an AL city.  Cubs are NL.  There were two straight NL cities in 2006 and 2007 (Pitt and SF).

  1. Of course, there are more NL teams too, so wouldn’t be perfectly fair if they rotated always.

Target Field in Minnesota seems like a good location though. Tired of Wrigley/Fenway.

From a ‘would be fun to go to another one’ angle, I’d say Philly..

  2. The 2006-’07 NL All-Star Game venues were done to allow Yankee Stadium to host to ’08 game during it final season. The only other time the alternating league venues was altered was in 1951, so the game could be played in Detroit, during the city’s 250th birthday year long celebration.
