Mets-Phillies Split Doubleheader today, Sunday moved to 2pm

Good Saturday morning – I wrote this one last night because I am doing Actual Athletics this morning so Mets Police is in Media Goon’s hands (please update this info as you see fit) but as I am writing on Friday night the info I had was that Saturday will be a split doubleheader (with the 7pm game being the “Friday” game, but please verify this elsewhere before you travel) and the Sunday game moved to 2pm.

You may be assuming that I am heading there since today is Saturday and I have a Saturday+ plan.  Nope. It’s a weekend+ date.

In better news, I hear there will be tweaks to the plans next year which I will blog about during the week.

This post and the Dave Howard post are “sticky” to the top of the page, but new content will roll out below until I get home and unstick.

So Media Goon is in charge this morning, and the Unnamed Donuts Chain’s Pumpkin Iced Coffee is wonderful.

  1. Despite the rain, I went out to the game to meet my friend, who had my ticket. I debated whether to pay $19 parking for a doubtful game, but they told me I could use the receipt for another game THIS YEAR if the game was not played. We entered at 6:30, but they never put on the lights. After a HOF tour, they said the game was called off and the ticket could be used for tonight’s game at 7PM. They shut down all restaurants inside the stadium at that point, so we hit McFadden’s which was crazy with Phillies fans…hope the first game is not delayed and they don’t play a marathon that will screw up the night game. My friend gave me his ticket, so I have two for tonight plus pre-paid parking.
