@mediagoon slapped together the two images and made this. Use your imagination like I did…
I’m writing this last night at 9pm so it’s possible things have changed and I haven’t had a chance to update the blog but my personal daydreams envision the 2013 All Star Game logo looking something like what @mediagoon made which is a lot like what Randy envisions. I feel pretty good about that daydream.
Sometimes my mind wanders and it starts to totally make up things based upon nothing other than the past, and it imagines a press conference on Tuesday since it’s stupid to announce anything good on a summer Friday, the Mets are off on Monday so why annoy the beat reporters – just do a late afternoon presser on Tuesday when everyone is in the building. But that’s just daydreaming based upon nothing at all, whereas my personal imagination of what an All Star Game logo could look like is based upon some images I actually saw on the internet. Who knows if the Mets plan to hold any conferences? I definitely don’t know of any scheduled.
I also can imagine Bud Selig being more familiar with my site than he was on Wednesday. But Bud is a busy man and probably doesn’t have time to read some silly blog. But if he did I would say to him: so some dumb blog creates some buzz. Relax. Buzz is good. Nobody actually “knows” anything. I sure don’t.
…
As I said earlier, I don’t know what these images are (and the above is MediaGoon’s composite of two images, that’s not even a real image). The two images showed up on instagram. This could be an amazing hoax. I leave it to you to decide if you find Mets Police reliable.
UPDATE: The Mets did indeed announce a press conference for Tuesday afternoon. When I wrote the above I did not know of any such conference. Just been around the block a few times.
