At least eight business owners are fasting and staying put inside an auto shop at 37-03 126th Street until they can be relocated out of the Iron Triangle as a group. They began the strike on Friday, August 30.

I also find this article interesting.  It chose to describe the owners as “immigrant owners.”  I assume the author Liz Goff comes from a proud line of Native Americans, or perhaps she is an “immigrant writer” or “a writer who comes from a line of immigrants.”

The immigrant owners have been lobbying for relocation when they are displaced by the upcoming redevelopment of Willets Point.

The City Council recently approved a $3 billion redevelopment plan that includes 2,500 residential units, along with commercial and retail space.

How about those Binghamton Mets?
