Alderson can’t recall how many games the Mets were supposed to win

The bold here is mine.

“My goal was not to win 74 games as we did last year,” Alderson told the team’s web site. “I don’t recall specifically what I wrote down or had in mind.

Yeah, what was that number again? Did anyone write it down?

Just for giggles let’s say it was 90.  The Mets are 26-29 are in 55 games.  There are 107 games remaining.

When the Mets go 64-43 (.598 ball) they will win 90.  Currently the Giants and A’s are playing above .598 so clearly it can be done.

90 Sandy, it was 90.  We all wrote it down.

Clearly it is time for….

  1. metspolice what is the difference. they lost them already. You can’t go back in time, add Mariano Rivera and win these games.

  2. metspolice Aldersuck if you need reminded you said 90. Which means 64-43 a .579 clip. And if you fail that you deserved to be fired.

  3. Funny how our memories slip as we get older and the season gets shorter!

  4. metspolice metspolice Really, Sandy…seems to me I’ve seen `90′ tweeted a thousand times on my TL, alone!
