Oh no, the Mets are on TV

Keith reads newspaper

Is anyone else having this reaction?  Ever since the 50 Cent game I have been really struggling to be excited about Mets baseball.

I find that I am happy when they have a day off so I can go do something else.  Last night at 7 I was like, “Well, I guess I will watch the Mets game, that’s what I do…” but I wasn’t into it….and I was rewarded with a boring game.*

I’m not excited about tonight.  I am vaguely interested in the Negro League Throwbacks tomorrow, although it is always hard to squeeze in Saturday Daytime TV, and Sunday is too far away to think about.

What about you guys?  What’s the draw?  74 wins again?  Will Murphy win the batting title  or will he be traded?  Waiting for Thor?

*:  Have you noticed the “Boring” games tend to be Keith-less.  I love Gary and Ron but there’s something about Keith’s boredom that brings an edge to the booth that is missing when Gary and Ron are professionally calling a baseball game.  It’s like the team is so boring that we need a nut in there.

  1. I’m with you Shannon. Haven’t watched a game since mid-May. Boring epitomizes this Mets organization. Been that way for several years.  I’ve watched an average of maybe 20-30 games per year for the past 6 years. Very few after June 1. Terry Collins does NOTHING for me. I’ll wait until he is finally removed.
