Alrighty, again thanks to @mediagoon for covering while I was gone – and, as predicted, the Mets waited until I was out of the country to announce some changes.
With the necessity of quick-blogging I am going to lift a paragraph from General Lukas and hope he doesn’t beat me up at the Queens Baseball Convention on January 10th. (Everyone support my Honor Amongst Bloggers program and visit Uni Watch when you’re done here. Seriously, if you like my crap Uni Watch should be a daily read for you.)
Baseball News: The Mets are changing their pinstriped unis from cream to white, plus they have a new alternate road cap and a new BP cap. Here’s what some of the team’s uni combinations will look like. Meanwhile, the “snow white” uni has been scrapped, which apparently means that the camo and blue home jerseys will now be worn with pinstriped pants instead of white pants …
Oh where to start.
White vs Cream. I don’t really care. I have known about this for a while. I guess we were all fine with white for all those years so white it is.
Sno White (pinless) leaving. Whoa, shocker. Had no idea this was coming.
This makes me think the Mets think they can win the World Series in 2015, and want to be do so while nicely dressed so I close down my blog.
Our primary home jersey will be white with royal blue pinstripes. Here’s a look at all of our jerseys for 2015. pic.twitter.com/mek8vBgwr1

The new road cap is completely unnecessary. Merch for march’s sake. I don’t hate it, but while you’re cleaning up the kits don’t add a distraction. Now this BP Cap is a monstrosity and will look terrible on an adult. I don’t know how this crap got approved. We were doing so well.
We’ve given the @MrMet BP Cap a new look and added a new alternate road cap to match our blue alternate road jersey. pic.twitter.com/zsCQuHDliK

The Camo Monday stuff doesn’t bother me the way it does some others. The camo uniform would look better with the traditional blue cap.
Overall – it’s fine. If the price we pay for No Black is a camo set, a cap with white (gray?) and a ugly BP cap, fine. Also under the Terms of The Treaty Of Flushing I said I would not complain about uniforms.
I’m still kind of shocked by the death of the pinless jersey. I have come to believe that was part of the Dodgers Love and/or Jeff Wilpon Meddles In Uniforms era of the late 90’s. Hopefully one of the Uniscentti can tell me what went down here.
The pinless is dead! Long live the Pinstripes!
