Are these the MLB Nickname Weekend Jerseys and caps? Little League Classic??

OK…this morning this showed up.

Hmmmm. Little League Classic? What’s that.

Well it turns out that the Little League Classic is a game between the Pirates and Cardinals being played on August 20th in Williamsport.

(Don’t start me on the nonsense on the LLWS and All Star Teams of children playing on national TV)

So why would the Mets have a cap for that? (And these appear to be $36)

Here are some more (again why would the Mariners have a cap for a game they don’t play in?) – and check out the variant MLB logo on the back.

Then one of the blogs had some screen grabs from Dick’s Sporting Goods showing a “Thor” jersey and a “La Potencia” jersey.  Blue with orange sleeves and kind of t-shirt looking.  And apparently $200.

Those URLs are not searchable and/or hidden and/or were a leak mistake.

I was able to find this Nationals one to give you an idea…

So picture something like that but with Thor and La Potencia.

Also to even more confuse things, this is labelled a

Majestic Men’s Replica Washington Nationals Bryce Harper ‘’Big Kid” Little League Classic Authentic Jersey

So is it a Replica or an Authentic?

And I don’t know how “Little League Classic” factors into this – to me these appear to be the Nickname Weekend (August 27th) jerseys….with matching caps…and I don’t think we’re supposed to see them yet.

There was a link which I will plain text here:  https://m.dickssportinggoods.com/f/mlb-little-league-classic-2017

That link is not active (5:28pm) and redirects to the main Dick’s site (as does the same URL without the m).  But as you can see, it said “Little League Classic.”

So what are we looking at?   Caps that somehow celebrate the LLC?   A mislabeled URL?   Why would there be nicknames for the Little League Classic – that teams aren’t part of.

A mystery!
