Mets Police Morning Laziness: I am Callaway

I am Callaway.

SLACKISH REACTION: The new guy seems pretty cool.  Like way cool, with a touch of “I’m trying” and nervousness and trying to endear himself to his new fans.  May he have much success.

I don’t know how other teams do it, but the Mets versions always seem odd with Pravda (hey WordPress where did the strikeout text command go, you are killing my jokes and I don’t have time to look up HTML codes)  SNY Gelbs getting the first question, and then the Official Interviews on the network.  Not sure what I want but I always just tune out for the Pravda version.

NOT LINKING AT ALL: Yes I see the story about the 86 Mets player, but I have never understood the need to immediately do ME TOO posts any time a former Met shows up in the news in a negative light.  I tend to stay away from those things.  This blog is many things, but I try not to be that.  I’m not saying I never do it (I think I did Koosman IRS and maybe some Lenny stuff in the earlier days of the blog) but I don’t see the need to regurgitate things.

NOT LINKING: a reminder your average Mets reporter and your very average Mets blogger has probably had little contact with an American League pitching coach and their insight is almost valueless.

There’s probably more but even sometimes I gotta work and today it is raining which means a three hour commute.  Gotta go.
