Mets Police Morning Laziness: media falls for Mickey Callaway media stunt. Is he the next Gil Hodges?

SLACKISH REACTION:  Holy sh*t guys – once again the Mets are changing up their conditioning programs. How many times, how many years, are we going to see this as an article?

Speaking of which…

So I had plantar fasciitis, and while I am not a professional athlete, I could not run more than a mile without having to shut it down, and eventually had to take a running break. And MRI for hamstring. Uh oh.

MICKEY MAFIA:   The Marketing of The Manager continues.  He went to visit the t-shirt enthusiasts….which he could have just done and would have been cool…but there happened to be an HD camera along for the ride.

The media lapped this up.

I see a bunch of stories on this.  They might as well let the Mets PR group write the stories for them.   I see how this is going, we’re about two days from declaring him The Next Gil Hodges.

Much like Mickey gets all the credit for Friday’s victory, I think it’s only fair to completely blame him for the Game 2 loss.

Eyeroll…

The Honda Classic was February 19-25. Not sure when TDK found time to swing by.

NOT LINKING:  Today we have a guest host on Not Linking.  It’s Will Musto WHO GETS IT

Someone ordered a chocolate chip bagel.  This is a misunderstanding of bagels.  Don’t order that.

The school robocalled my house at 7am to tell me there is an SAT Prep corse this week.  Don’t do that.

Full boat of youth soccer in the rain today, including a game by the time you’re reading this.  I’ma actually eating by bagel in the car and hot spotting my phone to bring you this excellent content.

Defesive guru Mike Piazza is in camp to work with the catchers.
