I cannot stand when the youth and the ignorant use “THE MLB” as if it’s a thing. There is no “The Major League Baseball.” I hear younger media types do it, but I also hear Bill Simmons do it. Bill is my age and grew up watching 70s Red Sox, he should know better.
Dear The Twitter…serious topic—Apparently, “The MLB” is trending. Couple of thoughts for you…it’s “The NHL,” “The NBA” and “The NFL.” It’s “Major League Baseball.” I don’t know exactly who needs to hear this but it’s just, “MLB.” So, STOP IT. Thx for your time. Best, The Boog
