MY TAKE
Pretty cool. Â Once again, fan-friendly and shows they are paying attention. Â I know tours was one of the topics talked about here on Mets Police over the winter.
I imagine some readers will freak out about a charge for the tour. Â That’s normal, keep your pinstriped shirt on.
I hope to take the tour someday, and as part of the ongoing discussion of the Mets and blogs – I will openly suggest you invite some bloggers (aka actual fans who pay money, not beat-writers who have seen it all) to test the tour. Â I’m not looking for an invite, pick some other bloggers – I’m pitching the idea of that, not trying to bully anyone.
No plan.

I’ve been waiting for tours for a while. I’ve always enjoyed other teams tours, and I imaigne the Mets twice as much!
I’ve taken tours of a number of other teams ballparks and I’ve enjoyed them all. A Mets ballpark tour would be awesome, especially if it includes the dugout and field. I love to see those perspectives on the venue that fans rarely get to witness.
I received the poll & took it. Was great to see tours being considered. Having done some of the Mr Met dashes and walked close to the dugouts but not in as well as in other parts under the stadium and would love to see the entire stadium. Also despite them actually asking for money to pay someone to show you around and clean up after the tours I was glad the price points were around the price of a movie. Can’t wait to get my tour tickets
This is great, but I have one huge fear: people would, in all likelihood, be LEAST interested to see the HOF and Museum during the tour because they could see it any other time they want–which the Mets offices would have no problem translating into “people don’t care about the museum.”
You would think the Mets would be smart enough to see through such a scenario, but with them you never know.
