You guys probably don’t remember Mike Scott. Mike pitched for the Mets from 1979-1982 and went 14-27 with a 4.64 ERA which in the early 80’s was like having an ERA in the nine-hundreds.
I don’t know what happened to Mike after he left the Mets and there’s no chance he went on to win a Cy Young or become the scariest opponent in the history of the Mets ever or anything like that because that would be absurd. Probably landed as an office manager in Scranton or something.
