A letter from the Mets to season ticket holders

On behalf of everybody at the Mets, thank you for your support as a Mets Season Ticket Holder.

Sandy Alderson, Terry Collins and the Baseball Operations department are continuing to work hard developing talented players who will form a nucleus of a winning team for years to come.

We have had great performances this year by veteran players with David Wright’s MVP-caliber season, R.A. Dickey tied for the National League in wins, and Johan Santana’s historic no-hitter. We have also witnessed flashes of brilliance from a number of our homegrown players with Ruben Tejada batting over .300, Daniel Murphy among the league leaders in doubles and Jordany Valdespin breaking the club record for pinch-hit home runs in a season. Matt Harvey’s 18 strikeouts were the most by any other pitcher in franchise history after his first two major-league games. Zack Wheeler, Jeurys Familia and other blue-chip prospects are continuing their success in the minor leagues as they prepare to become major-leaguers.

Citi Field continues to earn high praise for its food, amenities and guest service, making it the perfect place to bring your family, friends and clients for an afternoon or evening of fun.

Next year, the Mets and Citi Field will take center stage as hosts to Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game. The three days of events at the ballpark culminating with the 84th Midsummer Classic will certainly create memories that fans will be talking about for years.

The best way to experience Mets baseball and the All-Star Game is to renew your Season Tickets. You must submit payment by August 31, 2012 to lock in your 2012 Season Ticket Holder prices for the 2013 season.

We are offering three different payment options to make renewing easy and convenient for our best customers.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact your Season Ticket Account Services Executive at 718-507-TIXX or visit mets.com/sthrenewal.

We greatly appreciate your continued dedication, support, and business, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Citi Field in 2013!

Let’s Go Mets!

..

Thanks to Eric for sending this my way.

Reminder: Mets and MLB to announce All Star Game logo today at 3

The Mets have a press conference today at 3 to announce the new logo.  They were kind enough to invite me but I am unable to attend, but I will be watching my inbox like a hawk.

Speculation is that it will look a lot like this t-shirt which popped up in the Mets’ store on 42nd for a few hours on Friday (oops).

If MLB follows recent tradition the version on the t will be the secondary logo and the official logo will have MLB where you see “Mets” on this one.  Like this….

The Mets version is a very nice logo in my opinion.

Go see the Mets this week on the cheap, here’s how

We both know you’re jonesing for some Mets games. Why not treat yourself to some good seats? Maybe even wave at that guy who decided he wanted to play in Miami. Oh, Miami gutted their team. Sorry dude.

Anyways, it’s nice out, and we’ve got some deals for you.
