Gary Carter Remembered By the Montreal Canadiens

I think this was a really classy move by the Montreal Canadiens.
From MLB.COM

As part of a pregame tribute to Gary Carter, each member of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team sported No. 8 jerseys bearing Carter’s last name during warmups prior to Sunday’s home game against the New Jersey Devils.

The jerseys worn for the pregame skate — the Canadiens’ red sweaters with the blue and white stripes around the center — will all be auctioned off later this week, with proceeds benefitting the Gary Carter Foundation.

Mets:Media Goon’s Tributes to Gary Carter

As a lot of you know I just recently moved into Precinct 41. During the move I found some of my old Topps Mets cards and my old Mets Starting Lineup Figures. After hearing that Gary Carter passed away yesterday I thought maybe I could do a couple of tributes pictures to him with a few things from my childhood in the 80’s.

When I was a kid Keith Hernandez and Gary Carter were my fav Mets players. At the time the only other person I ever knew that was name Keith beside me was #17. Gary Carter I just always enjoyed watching play the game. Couldn’t explain why back then but now when I rematch old games I just always was confident he would get a hit when he was up at bat and had a lot of hustle.
