Izzy Wants to Stay

Jason Isringhausen has read the rumors that the Mets were looking to shop him, Tim Byrdak and K-Rod. He went right to Sandy Alderson and asked if he could not be traded.

I have two places in my heart,” he said. “St. Louis, because I’m from there, and New York, because this is where I started. Those are my two favorite spots, and I don’t think I’m going back to St. Louis anytime soon. And I love it here.

That is a great thing to hear that a player wants to stay with the Mets because he likes it here, well at least in my opinion. I like the way he went right to management and talked it out like a professional and didn’t whine about it in the press.

Mike Piazza Likes the Blue Caps.

Hey guys. Shannon is away so I guess I am in charge again. Usually when he goes away the Mets and I am in charge here the Mets have breaking news. Last trip he took the Mets had no earth shattering news. Hopefully, it stays that way again for this trip.
Here is a pic of of The USA MLB Futures team Managers Mike Piazza (U.S. Team) and Luis Gonzalez (World Team).

They are two things to notice about this pic. Piazza is wearing a blue Mets Cap. I can picture Shannon smiling about this until he notices the second thing in this pic. The black Mets patch logo. That just would ruin his day. Thanks to the dailystache for tipping me off on this pic.

Need to get in contact with me this week or any other time? My email is [email protected] and my twitter is @mediagoon. Have a good week folks.

Okay, so I figured out what service Shannon uses to power his phone. It must be the PONY EXPRESS. Got some of these photos three hours later. Good job Shannon.
