Low Number of Mets Opening Day Tickets left?

professorson

Shannon was having a discussion about Opening Day Vs The Second Day home starters with some folks on Twitter. They were talking about ticket sales on both days

As of 10:45 am today the Mets have less then 1200 tickets left for Opening Day. I also looked up the second game at home and there are around 11,000 tickets left for that game. Now this is not an exact science I just went to the Mets website and counted the number of tickets left for both days.

Now do the Mets start Harvey for the Opener or for Game Two at home?

Wrestling Is Coming to CitiField

600x700_0223_wrestling

All above would have been cool to see 20 yrs ago..

But it doesn’t look like it is the WWE like many of us speculated.

This is from PWInsider.com

The wrestling event being presented at the New York Mets’ Citi Field will be a “Legends of Wrestling” event on Sunday 6/7 featuring Ric Flair, Bill Goldberg and Bret Hart, among others, appearing at 3 PM.
The plan is to have autograph signings with legends in the stadium followed by six matches presented on the field. It will be the first-ever live wrestling event in the stadium

Hey, so something that looked pretty cool and could have been a big event is just something that is like the big event next door at terrace on the park except with 6 matches of “legends”.

Big time fail.

Now confirmed by the Mets….

Autism Speaks Event at CitiField

Metropolitan Hospitality which is now using the handle @citifield had an event for Autism Speaks. For a donation you got to some light refreshments, a tour of the ballpark, and a chance to take batting practice in the visitors batting cage. It was fun and glad to be able to help out a good cause. It’s good to see Metropolitan Hospitality trying new fun events while helping out with charity.
