Mets GM Sandy Alderson Diagnosed With Cancer

I never like hearing this kind of news. It really gets me down. No news in what type of cancer he was diagnosed with.

 From the NY Post

The team made the announcement Friday.

The Mets said the cancer is treatable and doctors are “optimistic about a full recovery” after the 68-year-old undergoes eight to 12 weeks of chemotherapy.

Alderson will continue in his duties as GM, though he will miss next week’s Winter Meetings.

 – We here at Metspolice are sending nothing but good vibes to Sandy while he fights through this.
