This photo is taken from the Mets recent efforts to contact this lost Amazon tribe.  The tribe is believed to be the last remaining people on Earth who have not received a pre-sale code. The leader of the tribe thinks the Mets need pitching and will wait to purchase tickets.
This came to be me via e-mail today (not sure if I should give out your name sir):
This was emailed to Citi Employees earlier today. Â What a deal, just 1 day after all Flushing Flash members get their opportunity… Â Yes, Citi did lead with “deal of the month” and, no, I don’t believe they meant it sarcastically.
Deal of the month:  Purchase your 2010 Mets single-game tickets before the general  public with this exclusive pre-sale opportunity for Citi Employees. The pre-sale begins on March 4 at 10:00am and continue until March 5 at 11:59pm. There is a 12-ticket limit per game for all games except Opening Day, which has a four-ticket limit.  Employees can place multiple orders for each game in which they need more than 12 tickets. Order tickets here and use code:  (hidden by me). For additional information regarding this opportunity, contact the Mets ticket office at 718-507-TIXX.
I’m glad that MLB won’t allow my MLB pressbox access (a page on a website, not an actual press box) and the Mets are doing a good job keeping this information from making its way here to Mets Police. Â It would be silly to just let me have access to information insiders are sending anyway. Â Why be friends when we can play our silly game?
To re-cap…pre-sales have been for season holders, 15 game holders, Stubhub users, Citi Field employees, and Flushing Flash subscribers (which is just about anyone whoever logged in to Mets.com, say because they bought tickets).
Scott tells me that today’s pre-sale is also for “former plan holders” – I am one of those, I don’t think I got that communication but then again I (was suckered into) bought a 6 game plan to guarantee the opener (can’t lead the Blue Cap Army if I am not there) and there’s no other game I really want. My purchases this year will be “hey Junior, feel like going today?” Â I’m confident I will be able to get in.
Why I don’t post codes: I know some folks are visiting here looking for pre-sale codes. Â I have decided that it’s uncool to post them. Â My job is to convince the Mets to act honorably, and if they don’t want everyone to know the code, I don’t think it’s my place to post it. Â Plus it is unfair to those who have earned the code to have other people swooping in.
In 2009 many of the pre-sale codes were player names. Â As for tomorrow’s pre-sale, I’ll ask you if you believe in codes.
The amazonian tribe will be able to purchase tickets on Sunday at 10am when they go on-sale to everyone who doesn’t have a code.
Thanks to everyone who has sent in items…submissions and guest-posts always welcome at [email protected] Â That’s where the Mets can reach me as well.
