I’m told the Mets offer parking vouchers at rainouts

I do try to be fair here….several people wrote me and said:

Joe:  The parking attendant told me that the receipt could be used whenever lasts nights game would be made up. So for example, I also paid for parking last night. I could use my receipt to park in the lot for tomorrow’s double header

Rose Anne:  I was told by the parking attendant to save my receipt in case it was rained out. She said it would be good at the make- up. I called the Mets today to confirm and they told me it was good for ANY future game this year! Finally, way to go Mets!

Good job by the Mets!!!!

Mets 24: Yellow Alert

I hate to do this but I’m getting nervous about our Metsies.  Assuming a split in the doubleheader the Mets would be 5-8…bad but not awful.  A sweep, 4-9 and a big home losing streak into a road trip with shaky pitching….all that scares me.

Three games in 24 hours.  Yikes.

Can a knuckleballer save us?

This is the Pepsi Porch early-ish in the game

And here’s one from around the 8th

Meanwhile – I am reading on the internet that the Yankees offered a ticket to another game to everyone who came to the Bronx tonight.  I don’t know that the Mets did or didn’t do such a thing – but if I were them I would.

Mets 24: three games in 24 hours

Three games in 24 hours.

Shaky bullpen.

It’s hard to sweep doubleheaders.

7-6 would be great. 4 and 9 a disaster’s disaster.

Time for Colactus’ crew to…..wait for it…….Man Up and Play Better

Unofficial: first series Mets ticket sales were up vs 2010!

@formerdirtdart sent this in. As the king of fairness I am happy to share this with you.

These numbers are unofficial but to my eye seem right. As always I leave it to you to decide if the site is accurate. Here’s Walt (@formerdirtdart):

Gleamed from the reported attendance (sold tickets), the Mets ticket sales for 2011 opening series were better this year, than last, and out did first weekend series too.

The Mets 2011 season home opening (1st weekend too) series, three games vs the Nationals (Fri, Sat, Sun), sold 107,928 tickets (avg 35,976 per gm).

Last seasons home opening series, three games vs the Marlins (Mon, Wed, Thur), sold 106,090 tickets (avg 35,363 per gm).

The first home weekend series, three games vs the Nationals (Fri, Sat, Sun), sold 94,771 tickets (avg 31,590 per gm).

Gangbusters!
