Photos of Unnecessary Meadowlands Stadium

Hey you know that unnecessary stadium, the one the Jets can’t sell out (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA……), Peter took some pictures and sent them over.  You can find his galley here. That’s all I have…I’m going back to laughing at the Jets.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….

This has nothing to do with the Mets, I thought it was interesting and I’m gonna guess you follow either the Jets or Giants….plus I’m out playing Actual Athletics.

More from Peter in 30 minutes, including the Mets jersey at Yankee Stadium!

Megdal on Mets development

Good morning.   Nope, I’m not off getting donuts – it’s another one of those Saturdays when I am doing an Actual athletic Event.   Media Goon is with me, so Mets Police is autopiloting for the morning but don’t worry, all sorts of magic awaits – including this gem from Howard Megdal who is running for Mets GM.

Do you guys have nice wide-screen monitors or do the videos step on the right side? I hate shrinking the videos but I could.

Mets Police 70’s week: Photos of players

Bonus edition of 70’s week before the week expires.  Will shared with me his awesome photo collection.   Here’s a few and I will be picking away at this as the weeks go by.

Will says, “Shannon – In honor of your Joel Youngblood post today, here’s a picture I took of the man himself during an appearance at a batting range on Long Island in June of 1980. It’s not technically ’70s, but close enough.”

That’s Doug Flynn, Ken Henderson, Joel Youngblood and Tom Grieve up there.  Match the name to the face for bonus points.

The blue was different then wasn’t it?

If you sent in something today thanks, keep em coming (shannon@metspolice.com), I have a stack of stuff and a ton of ideas – great problem to have.  I spent much of this evening speculating on the 2013 All Star Game, I think I will publish those thoughts on Sunday morning.

Tomorrow I have my usual Saturday fluff – and I will be out doing stuff in the sun.  You should too.  If you’re stuck at home or at work, don’t worry there’s plenty loaded and ready to go.

Audio version of Mets Police Sunday 6:30pm

We’ll be doing another audio version of The Mets Police Sunday night at 6:30.

We’re working on topics – I think we might argue about Wright being a Top 10 third baseman, which stadium is better Citi Field or (insert stadium here) and of course the state of the team three games from now.

The show page is here and the call in number  (917) 889-2723 not that I actually expect anyone to call.  We’re just having fun.

We need to work on a “clever” name too like Police Scanner or something.  Any real NYPD out there with some good ideas?  NYC doesn’t seem to have a 16th Precinct…maybe I’ll go with that in honor of Lee Mazzilli.

Fake phony Mets All Star Game 2013 logo

Man, snooze you lose.  Even though Randy from The Apple told me he made this, it doesn’t mean that I actually posted it.  So I got scooped by Baron and Metsblog.  Oh well.   That will teach me to work at work.

Anyway, I am going to keep polluting the internet with “Mets All Star Game 2013” until it becomes a reality.  Ya Gotta Believe.

It’s nice to see that Randy’s logo does not include certain colors.
