Mets: Undefeated Tuesdays!

The Mets went undefeated at home on Tuesday.

I propose the Mets sell “guaranteed victory” packs. Your plan gets you a ticket to every Tuesday home game. If they don’t win you can come to the next weeknight (Monday through Thursday) game for free. If they lose again you get invited back.

Why is this brilliant?

1. It’s fun
2. It involves the fans
3. It’s marketable. Say “Pepsi Undefeated Tuesday”
4. Fannies in the seats buy hot dogs and shakes.

Walt (@formerdirtdart) projects the Mets will finish with 2.575 million which would be just short of Dave Howard’s pretty spot in prediction of 2.6

That’s not a bad number for 1994 but in year two of a new park in 21st century New York it must be disappointing.

I doubt that the Wednesday games would be so full tat the Mets couldn’t accommodate everyone who bought the Guaranteed Victory pack.

Run with it Dave. It’s all yours. Maybe next year we can catch that game together in Promenade Left. The tickets and first beer are on me. You pick the date.

PEDRO FELICIANO: Made his 89th appearance of the season to break the
franchise record he set last season…The 89 appearances also lead the
majors…The last pitcher to make at least 89 appearances in a season
was Salomon Torres, who made 94 in 2006 for the Dodgers.

The Mets survey

Good morning Mets fans By popular demand…here’s some of the survey that some fans got yesterday.

After a closer look it seems to me that the Mets are doing some research for their friends at Citibank.

Thanks to Tim for the hookup.  Click on any picture for a blow-up version.

So far all makes sense…

The next slide asks if you can name any official sponsors and provides 9 places to fill in the blank.  However slide 5 takes us to an interesting place.

Slide 6 asks if you can name which financial service providers sponsor the Mets.   Then which airlines.  Names of major companies are offered as multiple choice.

On slide 7 I find the bottom question interesting.

Slide 8 asks which of three banks you prefer.  Slide 9 asks some questions about Citibank.

This next one interests me.

Next you are asked if you aware about Citi’s outreach programs and how they make you feel about Citi.

After that, some standard demographic questions….then more bank stuff.

And we’re done.

Put it in the Mets coloring book..popped up to Castillo, this should end it

Oh boy oh boy, Michael sent over this New York Mets coloring book.   Shall we…

So far so good….coloring and fun…everyone likes coloring and fun.   The cap is an alternate blue (note white shading around the NY) which is good…we wouldn’t want the kids to run down their black crayons.

Here we see David wearing what appears to be the white pinless.   Kids, you’ll need a little blue for this one.

And here’s Jason Bay proving that this book is from this year which is about to be very important…

Teixeira pops up to Castillo, this should end the ball game….oh no!!!!!!!   Seriously, as Michael asks, doesn’t anyone check these things?  Two hands Luis, two hands.

Note that’s a road jersey he is wearing.   Some Yankee fan is messing with us right?  Kids, if you need a color-reference…
