New Mets fan survey

The Mets have put out another fan survey…I can’t do a big post right now but skimming it here’s some Qs that caught my eye.

It opens with the usual “how big a fan are you” and “how many games did you attend” types.

Then some Qs like:

Can you name any official sponsors of the Mets? If so, please list them below.

When you think about airlines, what is the first one that comes to mind?

What company sponsors the ballpark where the Mets play their home games?

Then a bunch of Qs about Citi and Chase.

As you may have indicated earlier in this survey, the ballpark where the Mets play is sponsored by Citi. How does this make you feel towards Citi?

Next are some demographic questions then some more about financial services and credit cards.

Very Citi centric and odd.

(Saving my promised 11am post for noon – it’s good trust me)

Be angry.

Remember when I declared myself Captain? This will be on the clubhouse wall when my teammates walk in.

Nobody gets angry. There’s a culture that is resigned to losing. Not me.

Don Draper goes to Shea

In last week’s Mad Men, Don Draper had scored tickets to see the Beatles at Shea Stadium.   That’s all, just felt like mentioning.

Someone named Willie Randolph still roots for the Mets

Someone named Willie Mays hears the Mets aren’t drawing well

Andy McCullough knows how to fix the Mets and his plan includes my old mantra: Draft Better! (which I usually use for Fantasy Football.  Speaking of which, come back at 9 to hear Hojo and DW talk fantasy.  And definitely come back at 11 for a great post.)

The 2007 New York Mets Yearbook cover

Well we won the division and our dynasty has begun!  Let’s raise the yearbook two dollars and one cent!  We have these suckers eating out of our hands…and wait til we get to the new ballpark!

I have a feeling Tom Glavine will do something unforgettable this season, don’t you?
