Shannon hijacked my jersey list from two off seasons ago and I lost track of what I have actually posted. Shannon hates reboots so to get back at him, I am rebooting my list.
The Royal Giants Throw Back, Game worn Familia.
What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.
Look what @nickschiavo found. Be sure to park this somewhere for the inevitable…probably in November when David Wright finally admits he needs surgery.
This is an actual thing on sale at lids.
The Yankees have a lot of advantages. They play in New York. They have a relatively new stadium that opened in New York. Thus it makes sense that their brand is #1 according to Forbes and their TV network also is highly listed.
If only the Flushingtown Mets had these advantages maybe they could compete. Baseball is not fair.
This is tremendous! The Yankees in road uniforms at Shea. Mel Stottlemyer having no idea what his future holds. The original color scheme seats (my dad’s mimeographed Mets Police monthly newsletter really complained about that change in 1980)..so much to like here…
…and I love when the newscaster says “it will be called Yankee Stadium but will be something else.” If only that newscaster knew what would happen in the 21st Century!
…enjoy that 1973 NL Champs pennant Yankees!
UPDATE: So I got an urgent email and text from Osh41 who really wants some love from Paul Lukas.
you should add this note – and then send to Uni-watch and give me CREDIT
notice the uni’s?? in 1973 the Yankees went to the double-knits with the white trim around the letters and numbers. They aren’t wearing them here? why not??
They wore them in 73 – this is before the 74 season and they have what seems to be either leftover 1972’s or double-knit roads without the white trim??
This is a good one – props for me!!!!! Send to Paul – this will definitely get you (and me ) some love.
That’s way too smart for me. I top out at “looks good/doesn’t look good.” I’m sure Paul will read Mets Police and choose to link or not. Thanks Osh41!
