I find out about most of the stupid Mets caps from Hat Club. I like Hat Club. I don’t like stupid caps. Apparently you guys don’t either.
I’m supposed to make fun of Mets Groupon offers for some reason…and then I found the reason
There’s something about Groupon that makes people want me to make fun of the Mets. I mean, I guess, LOLMets aren’t sold out….
…but let’s look at it from our standpoint. Don’t we want cheap tickets?
The flip side is it teaches us not to buy tickets in advance because some Grouponer will get a better deal.
One of the Groupon dates is 4/26. Hey, I have tickets for that night (the Mets have decided we like to be cold in April). The face on my seats up in 514 are $36. Thirty-six.
Now I probably got some bundle discount…let’s say the Mets discounted me 25% (it was probably more like 10% but they will get mad at this post anyway and correct me.) Let’s assume for shtick and giggles that I paid $27 for my $36ers.
So what would $27 get me..
So roughly a corner seat on the lower bowl. I might like that more or less than right behind home plate upstairs. But the lesson once again becomes buying in advance gets you what again?
Anyway, Groupon away. Don’t let bizarre ticket strategies (the ones where you punish the most loyal) take away from the fact that your son wants to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon frigid cold April night with you. Why is this game at 7pm?
The cool @mets updated us on the Seaver jersey material
I mentioned yesterday that I dig this Seaver Offer, but that I don’t have 24 friends.
That started a twitter discussion wondering about the quality of the material. (Normally “replica” jerseys don’t have numbers etc…)
So I poked at the @mets who very quickly got back…
@metspolice @Mediagoon here is a close up of the material. Not a t-shirt but not a Mitchell & Ness. http://t.co/wQfizE1sdU

By the way…look how nice and snug the tail on the M is into the e. That’s how it is supposed to look.

You own this Mets jersey: Skip Lockwood
Good ol’ @lagranderusty went deep and bought a Skip Lockwood!
(which of us is going to tell him Skip never wore that design)
