You could own these cool Green Mets jerseys (2012 St. Patrick’s Day editions)

Media Goon and I already have ours (hell, Goon’s has even seen a no-hitter) but if you’d like to be cool like us you better jump on this tip Jamie sent me:

Shannon,

I know there was quite a lot of interest from other fans (me included) for this years St.Paddy’s jerseys and were disappointed by the lack of retail list.  I’ve just picked up one from ebay for $83.  It was team issued but not used (I got #81 – no idea who that was) but I thought I would pass along a link to another one just in case you or anyone else wanted to pick one up http://www.ebay.com/itm/KID-8-patch-New-York-Mets-St-Patricks-Day-Team-Issued-Jersey-2012-MLB-hologram-/110893940322?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d1cb3e62#ht_500wt_1287  I don’t know if the seller has any others in any other sizes but for anyone interested it might be worth asking the seller as he seems to have a lot of team issued stuff.
I’m not the seller!  I just want to pass the information on in case someone else wants to pick one up too.
LGM and keep up the great work!

An actual post about the actual baseball: why I’m mad and yet calm

What an awful week.  It all started with the wearing of the you know what and except for R.A. Dickey the entire week was a disaster.

Jason Bay & Ike Davis:  I’m done man.  You can’t let productive parts sit on the bench while these two play.  I can’t believe I’m typing this but I’d rather see Hairston out there.  I lose my mind when Nieuwenhuis (got it right but I did check after and I’m still not positive) doesn’t play.  I know Ike got a hit late today but you can’t eat .160 at first base for an entire summer.  We all like Ike but this ain’t working and there’s still a shot of a miracle season.

Bullpen: damned if I know who to roll out there.  The starters are usually serviceable but then God help us.  Try to go 8 and hope Frank Frank has his stuff.

Colactus: I think he pushes all the right buttons.  The one labeled bullpen doesn’t work.  See above.

Any time Santana loses it’s a long 5 days.  Always a long week when the ace loses one.  Friday sucked.

So I’m sort of freaked out and I’m sort of calm.  It was awful but guess what, they are still above .500 and still in the thick of things.  This team is designed for doubles not 330 foot home runs, and there’s plenty of season to beat up on lesser teams and play half the post-season in Citi Field.

In the meantime, sorry Ike & Jason.  I need to see someone else out there.  Tell Duda to get out his first baseman’s glove.  we can worry about his progress in RF in hopefully spring and if not then in September.

Where’s everyone else’s head at?

My Day At Highlander Stadium with Terry Collins, Joe Girardi and (unnamed) Donuts !

Some inside-inside baseball here but this stuff interests me.

The last question of the session came from a Highlander blogger I believe I’m kicking myself in the (bleep) for not asking his name and who what site he wrote for who asked Joe Girardi if he could do something to help the Highlander Bloggers  get access to the team. Girardi had no idea what he was talking about he told the blogger he has no control over who what or where when it comes to media access. At that point I had to give the Mets props and tell the audience that the Mets have been very gracious in letting me and other bloggers have access to Collins and his players and how fortunate we are that they give us the opportunity.
